Our Anti Snap Back (ASB) technology is an energy-absorbing core integrated into our 12-strand Mixed Polypropylene-Polyester mooring rope. More specifically, the outer yarns of each strand feature our specialized construction of high performance synthetic fibers covering a polyamide core. If the outer load-bearing rope construction fails, the ASB core immediately absorbs the dangerous snap-back forces. This crucial mechanism transforms what could be a potentially deadly snap into a much safer slump, ensuring maximum safety during your mooring operation. The rope is constructed in accordance with MEG4/OCIMF and covers the amended SOLAS II-1/3-8 requirements.
An alternative option is also offered, which features a mixed ASB core combined with an HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) outer construction, also in a 12-strand format.
